How BAD is the traveler tax burden?

I am looking to travel again and will NOT have a tax home in any respect. Im worried that I will be taxed out the ying-yang for my travel status. Will I have a huge income tax to owe come next year? Will it potentially bring my earnings down?

THANKS!!!

Lots of people do this and just accept the extra tax. They seem to think it works out for them. After all if you were living in an apartment in your own city and were paying $1000 for rent and utilites then you will only be paying about $250 in taxes for the same thing (as I understand it).

I was accidentally taxed on mine once even though I have a tax home. It would have equalled about $400 a month but i am in the bay area.

Call the traveltax guy and ask him... he will likely know the answer.
