health insurance

by 777par

Hi all, I am going to be starting my 1st travel job, and just found out about my insurance, and am very concerned because it only covers 7O% of hospitalization. Is this typical?? I'm worried one hospitalization could bankrupt me. Guess I should have checked this out first, but too late now, am starting in 3 days. Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks

Default Re: health insurance
My first agency offered the 70/30 split...i hated it, but didn't need to use it...thank God. Presently I have the 80/20 split which isn't as bad but still has alot out of my pocket. Now I just buy supplemental insurance, for like $50 a month for me and my hubby that covers whatever is left over. It's good to have your own backup anyway. Try Combined, they offer a decent package.
