greetings to all

by NEC1970

hi all. ICU RN traveling in san diego. about to take another assignment. anyone have a bad experience with American Mobile? Their housing allowances aren't so great nor are their perks. But they are the ones who seem to have the positions when others cannot produce. I've seen this happen to several travelers including myself when the current assignment is ending and you have to be out of your place soon.

Any thoughts?

andy

I am about to start an assignment with American Mobile. Basically they were trying to rip me off. They were offering $400 less for housing subsidy than what Cross Country and Novapro offered. And almost $5 less hourly. I call my recuiter and got the subsidy increased and I am working on the rate increase. I will not sign my contract until all my needs are met.

I suggest that for California research a few more companies. I worked with a traveler that was with a company that did an $800 a month car rental reimbursement.

I'm currently in my third contract with Aureus Medical and LOVE them! They always return phone calls promptly (IF they didn't answer when you called). No errors on my paychecks, and my favorite, they pay attention to the time of day they call you...if you're a night person, they call first thing in the morning so they won't wake you up...BIG perk in my book!! They also offer emplyee rewards where you earn points for your hours and can "cash" them in for merchandise..I spent very little on my Christmas shopping, did most of it through the company. And...if you want a contract in a city they don't have listed on the website, they'll actually call the hospitals as see if they can work something out.

When I was travelling in California, I worked with Agostini which seemed to be the best paying. Great company, but didn't quite feel as personal as Aureus.

If you have any questions, pm me and I can give recruiters, etc...

Good luck!

Aureus ranks...so far so good! Love that Travis...too bad I'm married. Ok, that's a joke gang. He calls me all the time but it's just business! OH darn....nudge nudge...hahaha.
I love being cared for in my career, for a change. LOL
