Hi! This one isn't specific to Florida but they have tons of opportunities in Florida. I am currently with AmericanMobile. My recruiter has been great, she really works to get you what you want and has gone above and beyond for me many times.

Hi,
Does anyone know of any Tampa Bay nursing agencies which do not require you to have a medical exam and PPD test BEFORE you get hired?

A medical exam is required by all companies. If you have a copy of a recent physical exam stating that you are in good health and fit to work most companies will accept that.

Thank you Daisy Doll for your response.
Do nursing homes require the same before you get hired? Frankly, I want to avoid the expense .

When I worked in nursing homes, upon hire they would schedule a person to see the medical director or a nurse practitioner who would do a cursory exam on site at no expense to the new hire. I don't know if most still do that. Since I have worked in home health, they have required me to bring in a statement from my own doctor. I have usually just gone and had an exam done at one of the clinics that do occupational health. Then I make copies of the report form that are good for a year.
