Getting ready to travel, what does your spouse do?

I'm an L&D RN, been a nurse for 12 years, and I'm seriously looking for my first travel assignment. I've been working PRN two nights a week for the past couple of years and I homeschool my kids. My S.O. has a 90-mile commute (one way) to work five days a week and it's bleeding him dry (physically, not to mention gas and wear and tear on the car). He has put in his notice at work, and he and the kids are coming with me. I know that I will be able to make enough money for all of us, but I think he would feel better if he could contribute a little bit financially. I'm looking for ideas on ways he can make money while on the road. We'll have our laptop and internet whereever we go. He'll still need to be home to watch the kids while I'm working, so a work-at-home thing would be best. He's thought about selling on Ebay, but the problem with that is that we won't have room for him to store the things he's selling. Any other ideas? His background is in IT, but he's a smart guy and can learn just about anything. A small business would be ideal, rather than working for someone else.

If by chance have you thought about traveling with an RV, (not sure how many kids you have). While we are on assignemnt my hubby works at the campground and usually it is for maybe 20 hrs a week, various job avaiable and it pays for the campsite.
