Well, this is my goal in the next year. I have done it before. Only to California. I loved it. So, my question is, where are the BEST states for travel nurses?

Who is currently a traveler/former traveler?

Also, what are some good companies (I used to work for American Mobile and prefer to try someone else and NON-affiliated companies). Which is hard because it seems like they are now affiliated with everyone!

A year or less is really not long when it comes to planning for this. But I am ready to get out there again! All thoughts and input would be great! Thanks!:coollook:

I traveled to Seattle with Cross Country. The company was fine. I worked at First Hill Swedish Medical Center and it was a really fun place to work (I did medical). Seattle was so amazing. The apartment I lived in was breath taking, the food is amazing, there is tons to do. I would go back there in a heart beat! I went to Mankato, MN with NurseChoice. Pay was great, hospital was fine (I worked at St. Joseph's on their tele unit). Minnesota is not a place I would ever move back to though. A good place to find info is the travel nurse and therapists forum. I am not sure how to get there except to google 'travel nurse and therapists forum'.

What are the BEST states for travel nurses? I say ANY state that you can find work for a decent wage. I guess compact states would be a good place to start.

What dept do you work? How long ago and where did you travel in CA? What was AM paying back then and why do you want to switch? Sorry for the 20 questions, but your post is so broad, without knowing anything about you its hard to advise.

why travel AND therapists?

why travel AND therapists?

Because both nurses and allied health professionals travel. The business, and many of the agencies, are exactly the same.
