Do you travel with a significant other?

Do you travel with husband/wife or boyfriend/gf? If so, what do they do for a living? Do they get temp jobs in your location? only come with you on certain assignments? What jobs are compatible with this lifestyle?

I am traveling with my husband and he has been doing a self employed job off the computer. He helps coordinate the buying and selling of timber. I am just wondering for ideas or advice because he has been frustrated with this line of work lately.

My husband and I travel together. My pay is enough to cover both his lost wages and my salary. The housing stipend alone is just about what he made before we decided to travel. Right now he is working to develop some websites to bring in some money. For now it works great for us. He will soon be a "stay at home" and we will actually save money that we would have had to spend on a day care and even better...one of us will get to be with the baby full time. Works out great for us. I am completing a 6 month contract right now and he has worked at a local factory just for extra money. This is the first time he has done that, but since it was a 6 month contract it made sense.

Awesome! I thought this job would be perfect for the stay at home gig, aside from not getting maternity leave. Daycare these days is costing $500/week! I'm thinking seasonal work might be the way to go.. He can work at a resort style seasonal job for a few months out of the year to make up for lost wages.
