Days or nights

I haven't traveled as yet but have spoke with a couple of companys and filled otu apps. I'm going to start by taking a local travel ( at least 50 miles from home) first to see how I like the company. Think I will take the housing and try to work 3 twelve hour shifts in a row where I only have to spend two nights a week and travel back home for the rest. Hoping this will give me a feel for how this works. Anyway, my question is...are nights better to start with, ya know less hustle and bustle and don't have to sleep someplace new during the night, feel safer during the day kinda thing?
