Hi I Am Currently An Lvn Student At Coastal Bend College In Alice Texas. (the Gulf Of Mexico Area In Texas) I Am A Single Mom And Have An Eight Month Old Little Girl. I Have Been Trying My Hardest In Nursing Class And Really Want To Succeed. I Would Love To Be In The Pediatrics Field Or Labor And Delivery Field. I Am Also Thinking About Doing The Travel Nursing Deal For A Bit. Could Some Of You All Give Me Some Advice On Nursing School And Travel Nursing Jobs?

Maybe Even Give Me Some Sites Also On Those Nursing Jobs. I Want The Best For My Daughter And I Want To Be Able To Succeed In The Lvn Program

I am an RN looking to travel starting later this summer. My daughter is an LPN looking into either travelling also or just wanting to relocate. With everything that I have looked into as far as travel nursing is concerned, it is rare that a company will use a new grad without some kind of experience after getting her license. You really need to have at least a year of work behind you before they will consider you. Also, because my daughter wants to travel and is an LPN, I am finding that few agencies take LPNs as clients- they tell her there isn't a great need for LPNs in the travel industry. Don't get me wrong, a lot of companies will take an LPN on as clients, but it might be hard to find an ideal place for you to go. Good luck in getting your degree and don't give up on your goal in travelling, from what I am reading, it is very exciting to explore all the possibilities in this country. Just make sure you explore more than one company.
