best travel agency...

things that are important to me

1. payrate - with reliable paychecks!

2. lots of locations all over the states

3. free private housing

4. free insurance - preferably day 1

The rest is really icing. Does anyone have agencies they would like to recommend? I have been using american mobile - although some other agencies paid a little higher - they never seemed to be able to find me the positions I wanted.

I have been traveling for 8 years and switch companies frequently. I always maintain conact with at least 3 so i can negotiate my contract to get the most out if it. I am currently with Quest group ...a small company out of Tx...They have been great..my recruiter wonderful....they even paid my cable!!!! I also really like RNNetwork. Medstaff has a lot of assignements and my recruiter there is the best of them all..but their benefits are a little low compared to the others...but if they have a place i like or want and the others don't.....
Good LUCK!

I think that is one of my biggest mistakes right now not having more than one travel agency. I just hate the 4+ hours of paperwork involved with new agencies. Any help with how to expidite the paperwork among agencies? Thanks Greg.

Fastaff, OnAssignment.

I don't think there is a fast way of getting through the paperwork!

Especially when you need 2 or more recent evaluations from a charge nurse or nurse manager, a physical, a ppd, then there is the jcaho, hippa, osha, medication exams and a license in the state you would like to work for.

I think there is more paperwork. It's pretty time consuming. But worth it.

I agree. I never let my recruiter think he is my only option. Do the paperwork.........like Larry the Cableguy says, "Getter Done".

I work for American Mobile, and dont recommend them. I will be changing companies next assignment unless I decide to go staff.

I'm glad that the OP made this thread! I love the idea of having more than
one agency. Perhaps I can have 3-4 @ the same time. Just brilliant!

I will not start travel nursing for quite some time... but I love being able to do my research early. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
