I went into nursing to work in the ER. I was an EMT for 10 years and did that wile in nursing school. Graduated and went straight into the ER.
At first I loved it ! I had a fantastic nurse manager, a fantastic orientation, and a great group of "mother hens" to work with.
After a couple years, management changed and things went south and I just got sick of the politics. So I left the ER and went into House supervision and very brief stent in home health and then teaching. Hated home health, but like teaching but missed the ER.
So, I decided to get back in the ER saddle and always wanted to travel. I signed up with VoyageRN and I am going to a Critical Care station in Nebraska, in the panhandle. I am pumped. I seem to have got a good contract, but I am nervous as heck. I just wonder what the housing is like etc.
Plus, the nagging self doubt. Am I really good enough etc...
I know how important support is, so you will see me more often....
I appreciate all the great input from everyone. I put my recruiter through the ringer, I was loaded with great questions! and yes....They are in writing !!!
