Anyone currently in NY on assignment?

Just wondering. A couple of agencies have contacted me regarding travel assignments in NY but I'm nervous because I have no idea what it's like at the hospitals there with the aftermath of Sandy. My heart goes out to the communities of the affected areas. I have been wanting to go to NYC for a while but I'm nervous of what the working conditions may be.

Is anyone currently on assignment there or have any insight on what the hospitals in the city are going through right now?
