any peds jobs?

Hi everyone...

I am a pediatric rn with 3 yrs exp. I am ready to take the plunge and try traveling. My question is whether anyone out there is having luck finding straight floor peds jobs. I have been told by a few agencies that there are plenty of jobs out there but when i look into it they seem to be more picu, nicu.. etc. I was told there were some great opportunities in seattle but found directly from the hospital that they havent hired floor staff in a couple years... its all specialty. I was so excited about seeing that part of the country... what a let down! So before I give my notice and find there really isnt anything out there... pls let me know what your experiences have been. Advice please?? thanks!

Me too, I'm a Peds RN with 5 years Peds experience, floats to NICU often, and adult med surg when low Peds census. Are Peds jobs too good to be true??

I just started traveling Oct 2010 and have worked 3 peds nursing positions. The first was in a pediatric outpatient clinic, the following 2 are general peds med units. The jobs are out there. Keep looking, you'll find them. Try Medical Solutions, Clinical One, The Right Solutions or just google pediatric travel nurse for other companies. I've worked with the first two companies.
