All you travelers - help?

by tineann

Hi-
I am thinking about going to Australia for a year (probably not with an agency) and then possibly coming back to the states to do some travel nursing. I have absolutely no knowledge about good/bad travel agencies and what is "standard" in a decent contract. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Also, can one choose exactly where one would like to be placed? (ie Denver area). One more thing, I am a psychiatric nurse and would guess that maybe I have less flexibility because of that.

Thanks for helping me... not into reinventing the wheel, if ya know what I mean!!

Christine

You want everything to be included, no out of pocket expenses should be paid by you. Private apt with utilities. License reimbursment.

Do your homework. I can tell you that with psych nursing, you will not find as many travel assignments as with other areas of work.

I have looked in to Australia and the pay rates really suck. Check out the rates before you go. Cost of living very high.
