advice on colorado travel

I am first time traveler. I want to go to Colorado but am not sure if I want Colorado Springs or Denver. My husband will be with me. We have friends there and we like the areas, but I dont know much about the hospitals.

I am looking into RN network and possibly On Assignment. Are these good companys and should I hold out for a rental car while I am on assignment?

Any help would be great!

Default I wanna go to CO too!
Hi! My husband and I are very strongly considering moving to Denver as well and I am also researching the possibilities for employment there. I am not sure if I am going to take a travel assignment or permanent position yet. I did contact American Mobile and they told me there are rarely travel opportunities in Denver. Not sure about other CO areas. I've traveled before so am familiar with the process. How about you? What is your specialty? Where are you living now?

I am in Dallas TX. I do Ortho and med surg..and prn Postpartum and charge. How about you? The companys I have spoken with have told me there are a lot of Denver assignments but not Colorado Springs. I have also heard that American Mobile treats there nurses unfairly..I dont know personally though. I am not familiar with the travel process either. This will be my first assignment.

hello, just an FYI for you guys... a fellow traveller told me that colorado will tax you on your whole year's income as opposed to the 3 or 6 months you are there. this is what i've been told, so you might want to check w/ an experienced travel accountant. there are many links on Delphiforums.com (travel RN forum->TAX forums). anyhow good luck, iv'e never been there myself, but i hear its a nice place.

Hey guys.....I traveled to Denver on 2 seperate occasions and absolutely loved it....not too much to do in Colorado Springs, but a nice day trip. I was there both times with American Mobile and never once had difficulty finding an assignment, although I'm still with them and am finding that they have a tendency to "nickel and dime" you if your not careful. My first assignment there was for 10 months and the second time for 6 months and never had an issue with being considered a permanent resident for tax purposes. Hope this info was helpful.....and have fun!!
