by mccordd

Have you seen/or know any travel nurses 50 and on up? Your spouses can tag along?

Definitely not too old!!! I've met nurses who trvel with their spouses in their RVs. I've met nurses and their spouses who take the housing. You just have to have a plan for what the spouse will do while you are working...

I started traveling at 47 with my husband who is retired. We travel in an RV and while I'm at work he keeps busy talking with locals and finding out the best places to visit that the area offers. So even though you are only there 13 weeks, you have seen more than most locals do in a year.
I guess you can say his job is the social director. It works great for us.

Hey, I tend to resent that question. Since when is 50 old? I'm 60 and just went back on the road for the money and the fun. I hold my own QUITE well with the young whippersnappers that think they know everything and then when they get in over their head.....guess who they come to?

I get my work done by quitting time and do it dang well, thank you.

Hi! Just starting out on my first travel assignment at the age of 55. I was concerned that I might be too old but it appears I will fit in just fine. Had a short general orientation today and was introduced to many people my age or older. Took that element out of my concerns. I think or hope that you will see the same thing in your travels. After all, the statistics indicate that nurses over 50 are not the exception. Good Luck to you.

51 here and have been traveling for 10 years now. There are many of us out here in this age range as we started traveling after kids were grown and/or spouses retired. Go for it!
