Thank you to the ICU nurses - Page 2
Register Today!- Aug 11, '12 by xoemmylouoxWell my stubborn father has shocked us all. We go from deciding that we may have to remove life support to him now saying one word responses and moving both arms. We can't wait to see what further improvements occur. I'm just glad we are off the vent. Thank you for all of your kind words in this very difficult time.
- Aug 11, '12 by Esme12I am so sorry you are going through this.....
I know how hard it was with my Dad about 3 years ago.
After a lifetime in critical care, I have come to know with confidence that......... there is only one person who knows the time line of our lives and HE's
not sharing. My prayers for you and your familiy.
- Aug 11, '12 by 2BRN123Wishes of strength to you and your family. I lost my father 2 days ago at the age of 48, also in the ICU. I share your same sentiment of thanks to the nurses and staff. He survived 2.5 days off of life support. No blood, no fluids, no vitals being taken, just Dr. Pepper and dilaudid.
There were also shocking "ups" and heartbreaking "downs" but the staff of the ICU always offered and provided, even the most ridiculous of comfort measures.
Emmylou, bless you and your father. I hope that the universe can align itself to grant the both of you the strength and clarity to make it through this difficult time, just as it has for me and mine.
