Thank you to the ICU nurses

I am in the ICU with a terminally ill family member. I am pretty much in my own dealing with this as my family is beyond dysfunctional. The nurses here are making me feel welcome and are consoling me as things worsen. Thank you to those who are taking the extra step to help me through this.

Wishes of strength to you and your family. I lost my father 2 days ago at the age of 48, also in the ICU. I share your same sentiment of thanks to the nurses and staff. He survived 2.5 days off of life support. No blood, no fluids, no vitals being taken, just Dr. Pepper and dilaudid.

There were also shocking "ups" and heartbreaking "downs" but the staff of the ICU always offered and provided, even the most ridiculous of comfort measures.

Emmylou, bless you and your father. I hope that the universe can align itself to grant the both of you the strength and clarity to make it through this difficult time, just as it has for me and mine.
