I am so confused and nervous! How can 2.5 GPA's get in yet I read the stories of 4.0's not getting in with 95 on HESI!!! Here is my story.... I have my degree from UH (94). I was young and did not care and just wanted to get out. Made horrible grades, had a lot of drops and even F's. Managed to graduate with a 2.5. Well, life happened and I did a complete turn around and knew I wanted to go into nursing. I needed 31 hours of pre-reqs....all my sciences and maths, history and a psych. Over the last 3 semesters I completed all the hours with a 4.0....while working 40 hours a week and raising 3 kids. Took HESI last week and made a 93%....92 in A and P and 850 in critical thinking. All other sections were pretty high...94 and 96's....but reading of all things got me. Made a 90. Couldn't believe it....I thought I would do best in that so I am not sure what happened! Will they even look at me with my GPA from first time around? I am so hoping they look at what I have done the past year and see how committed I am to this the second time around!

Hi! I just got on this site today....I wish I had found it sooner....especially before the HESI...lots of great info on study sites. Do you know if UT posts prior stats on who they accept? I have no idea if I will even be considered. I have a degree (BS in Psych from UH (92)....I did not care (TWENTY years ago!!!) and managed to barely graduate with a 2.5. Turned my life around....went to school the past 3 semesters and completed 31 hours of pre reqs with a 4.0. That included all sciences and maths. Took HESI last week:
96% Grammar
94% Vocab
94% Math
90% Reading (not sure how that happened!!!)
92% A and P
93% Overall
850 Critical Thinking

So even though I have a 4.0 for the past 31 hours....when you take some of my C's in classes like history etc I took in 88-92, it brings my pre req GPA down to like a 3.5. But all science is a 4.0.
Think I even have a chance?????
