    hi everyone,

    i need a little advice about the uta rn to bsn program. i am currently enrolled; and i have taken prof nursing a and b, brit lit, and tech writing in the last 10 weeks and i have a 4.0. i only have nursing classes left.

    my question is has anyone taken 2 nursing courses at the same time? was too much of a time crunch? i don't have a job right now and thought i could knock it out before dec, and be ready for jan internships but taking 2 5 week courses makes me a little nervous.

    any advice or suggestions would be appreciated!

    hi no advise but a quick question... what was the admissions process like for you for the rn-bsn program. i am working on prereq for my lvn-rn bridge and from there hope to do the same program you are doing... was it competitive at all? Thank you!

    i don't think you can take 2 nursing classes at the same time. at least that is what my coursemap and my nursing advisor told me. you can however take 1 nursing class and 1 general ed class. i'll be done with prof nursing a & b in 3 weeks!

    acwilson06- hi the process was actually very easy. i decided to sign up a week or so before one of the deadlines and i just called their 800 number and someone emailed me direction on how to apply and answered every question i had. it took about 2-3 weeks to find out if i was admitted. i don't really know if it was competitive.

    chybabe- you can enroll in more nursing classes after you have completed professional nursing a and b. i am in 2 nursing courses now.

    oh good to know that. how is that going for you so far? i'm almsot done with prof nursing a & b.

    It's a little tough because Nursing research is all group work. But other than that it's going well. Good luck on the rest of prof. nursing!

    thank you so much for your quick response! could you by anychance tell me how many start dates they have?

    I don't know how many they have off the top of my head. I believe the start dates for the nursing classes are every 6 weeks, and I am not sure but I think most of the general ed courses are 9 weeks apart. If you go to stateu.com it will have the dates listed, as well as the requirements for admission.

    Hi.
    I am going to be starting the RN-BSN program soon. Did you take Technical Writing and Professional Nursing A at the same time? I am working full-time and not sure if I can take on 2 classes at the same time. Since you've taken both classes... What do you recommend?

    if you have a busy home life and lots of summer plans you may want to wait, but i think you should be fine. if you go to stateu.com you can find the link for the courses syllabi. if you take a look at both classes you may be able to judge if you think you will have enough time better. so far the only course i wouldn't recommend taking with another course is research nursing (takes a lot of time).
