Register Today!- Oct 18, '12 by sapadgettQuote from iamleeannI was wondering that too...I'm not sure! Now I need to find a CPR class.I did the same. Mine was done last friday (10/12). I'm sure you'll be alright. It probably doesn't take as long as they say but use that timeframe as a "just in case" measure.
I was kind of confused though. Past threads had said people were getting blue cards before they received acceptance letters. If you have to do the background check to get the blue card and you don't get the information to do the background check until orientation/or sometimes after acceptance, then how did people get them prior to - unless they are an LVN? I was thinking it had something to do with that FERPA form but that doesn't seem to be the case. - Oct 18, '12 by sapadgettQuote from JesbustosIt's my understanding that that's all we have to do for that.Hey everyone! I'm at fingerprinting place right now.. I have a question. After we get our prints done, do we need to take any further action for the background check? Or is this it?

- Oct 20, '12 by hlc123Hello All, I had almost forgotten about the message board after getting my acceptance letter. I think I am caught up on all the topics now, but does anyone remember what brand the stethoscopes were that the college was going to be selling? Or which stethoscope does anyone plan on buying. Scrubs: OK, I tried on the landau, unisex and even the small swallowed me and I am not a little person! The other ones with the piping fit ok, so I will probably just buy those. Hope everyone is getting there stuff together! See you all soon.
Heather - Oct 21, '12 by sapadgettQuote from hlc123I don't remember the brand name, but have you checked your mylonestar email lately? I know they sent us an email a few days ago with the link to the order form for the stethoscopes. I haven't really taken the time to look, but I plan on looking through them.Hello All, I had almost forgotten about the message board after getting my acceptance letter. Heather - Oct 21, '12 by iamleeannThe stethoscope is the MDF777...there are a couple options in the email but at orientation the MDF777 was the midrange one that admin said people had and liked the best.
I have not purchased anything else or tried on uniforms. I probably won't get into that stuff until December to allow my wallet to recover from a wedding and holiday trip next month. All I need is the blue card and my packet is complete, so that is a relief. - Oct 21, '12 by sapadgettQuote from iamleeannI am doing the same with the uniforms & stethoscope. Right now all I'm worried about is getting my packet complete (which is costly in itself between the CPR, doctor visits, blue card etc lol) Also got to have the book kit by mid Dec when the week long class starts, right?? So much to keep up with! The stethoscope is the MDF777...there are a couple options in the email but at orientation the MDF777 was the midrange one that admin said people had and liked the best.

- Oct 21, '12 by sapadgettQuote from iamleeannI don't think it is. I think at orientation she said it shouldn't be no more than $700 if I remember correctly.Totally forgot about that kit, probably won't be cheap either.
