Whataburger - a Texas gem!

Does anyone else on this forum enjoy the food from Whataburger? If so, what do y'all order when you go there? I thought this would stimulate some lighthearted discussion. :)

I like the chicken strips meal with the Texas toast. I also like the Whataburger with cheese and the onion rings.

Well, most fast food joints are kinda high-priced these days (unless you can strictly order off of the $1 menu). ;)

Although I can readily afford to eat out frequently, there's no argument that it is definitely much less expensive to eat home-cooked meals.

This is slightly off topic...but I've been looking at my food budget lately and I'm finding that, as a single person, it's almost cheaper for me to eat out rather than cook at home. Last night, I went to Sonic (thanks to this thread!) and got a cheeseburger, tots and my beloved Cherry DP for around $6. There's no way I could have bought the ingredients for that meal for that price..plus factoring in my time for shopping, cooking and cleaning up. Tonight, I'll probably go to a local Italian place and get their Chicken Florentine. It's $8.95 with a salad and I'll get two meals out of it (plus there is no way I can recreate this dish...it's divine!)

Now, I agree it's healthier to cook. And it's a different story when it comes to families. But now that places are serving such huge portions, I can almost always have leftovers the next day. I dunno...it just seems like a better deal for me to pick up.

Now, I'm off to WhataBurger before the girl comes on duty that hates me. :D

OMG I am so excited we just got a Whataburger in Ardmore, Ok about 30 miles north of the Red River..... yea i am so excited I order their vanilla shakes, no one makes them better...

Woo-hoo for Ardmore! WB is great for breakfast, too!

As a Michigan girl transplanted to Texas, I gotta say I really miss White Castle bugers (aka sliders).

Grew up with a WC a mile fom the house. The frozen ones we get here are NO MATCH at all, and accordingto the WC website, frozen is all that is available here.

That said, I kinda like What-a-burger. I usually get a Jr, no onions, extra pickles and just for grins add an order of onion rings (I know that sounds weird, but I cannot stand raw onions, but love 'em cooked in any fashion )

Even as a kid, I didn't like McD burgers

ugh, no whataburger for me...

i haven't been there in years, unless for biscuit and gravy breakfast or maybe a breakfast taco but even then it's been at least 5 years for that.

for me it's either homemade, fuddrucker's or even a sonic burger but that is about the only fast food burger i can handle.
