I still haven't got an email and I have a 3.8 GPA and a 77 on the teas. I called and they said they can't tell anything over the phone.
Yeah you definitely should have heard something. Call and ask if they even processed your application. Sometimes it gets lost. Best of luck to ya!

Wait listed over here! Big decisions to be made now.
What is your other choice? I think if you got waitlisted for Utmb but got accepted somewhere else, you should take it. If you wait and end you not getting in, you'll have lost it all. Just a suggestion for anybody else reading.

I got into an ADN program. I have already accepted my spot but of course I would love to get my bachelors over an associates.

Can you decline even after you've accepted?

That would be terrible! When I called the first time they wouldn't answer anything. But I'm going to try again Monday and hopefully get someone different.

I am so confused on what to do. First off I'm classified as a Junior at the University level. I am currently enrolled in NURS 3303- Acute Care Pathophysiology and NURS 3205-Professional Concepts of Nursing at The University of Texas at Tyler. I plan on applying to UT Tyler's nursing program for the Spring semester of 2014 but I don't want to put all my hopes in one basket so I applied for Admission into Houston Baptist University a couple of days ago. They told me to submit my transcripts and my HESI scores. I currently have 65 hours completed in coursework and my HESI scores are as follows: Reading:90%, Math: 82%, Grammar 86%. My Nursing GPA is a 3.4 while my coursework GPA is a 3.45. I made an A in Chemistry, an A in Microbiology, an A in General Psychology, an A in Human Growth and Development, a C in A&PI, and a B in A&PII. I have a 3.6 overall GPA and ill have an ASSOCIATES DEGREE IN ARTS in August of 2013. I am currently taking my last nursing science (Nutrition) which will be completed before the summer ends. What I want to know is this...with all of my academic progress..what are my chances of being a strong candidate for UTMB's nursing program? I admit my TEAS V score wasn't as good as my HESI score and that is why I retook it! My individual score was a 64.3% I did meet UTMB's required score but I retook the TEAS test today to see if I could do better...I am currently waiting to see what I made on the retest but in the meantime I need to know more about UTMB! What is up with this NursingCAS site? Why do I have to send a transcript form to the colleges that I attended when I already have my sealed official transcripts ready to be mailed?!! Did I mention that transcripts aren't free -__- please help me as soon as possible!!! I need someone to please give me some pointers. Question: Am I wasting my time applying to UTMB? Or do I need to stick with UT Tyler and Houston Baptist University's Nursing Program????

    Thanks,

    Patrick

Patrick, I think you should definitely apply to utmb. Your scores are good enough to probably get you on the waitlist if not accepted. Last semester I couldn't figure out the transcript form thing either so I just sent my transcripts without it and it still worked. I don't wanna recommend it because what if it doesn't go through this year. And since your hesi scores are so good, you should look into more schools that require hesi because there's a bunch.

Yes I can, they will then call someone off the waitlist.

Did anyone else not get a reply from utmb by this past Friday?
I had called Friday and they said all decisions had been made and emails sent. And if you were denied you would no longer be able to access mystar. The lady confirmed my email with me and told me to recheck my inbox and spam. However I received nothing and by the time I called back they were closed. I can still access mystar. Is there anyone that got denied that can still access mystar???

I would call first thing tomorrow morning. I had issues with receiving communication from them. I called and they confirmed my email and said they sent me multiple emails. I never received ANY of them. I checked inbox and spam!

Patrick, it is depend on the area that you live right now to make your decision. As your posting, I would say HBU is the best place to go even though their tuition a little bit expensive but you will get some scholarship with the school since private institution always give a lot of scholarship to students who are qualified. Beside, I checked the NCLEX rate among the nursing school in Houston, HBU has the best score 100 %, other school NCLEX is much lower. So HBU nursing program would be your best choice if you can afford for the tuition just about 2 years then it will pay off when you graduate and work in the medical field. I missed the Hesi for Reading part to apply to HBU for the fall 2013 and I retook it but I got into Chamberlain Nursing school. Anyway, that is my opinion, and all decisions are up to you. Good luck Patrick.
