I believe they only send them out if you haven't completed the extra classes that they require for core completion and you don't have a prior degree. I am graduating this may so I can exempt out of the math and women's class. I saw a few posts about the emails from past forums and when I called about it they said they would send out emails asking and that's how they know if you will be core complete or not. But I guess not everyone applies to that lol. Just wondering if anyone is in the same boat I am.

Hi everyone!! I'm a current J1 student at TWU Dallas. Good luck to all of you as you wait for acceptance! It's a rough time but try to remember to relax and breathe - this is the last time you'll be able to do so!

I wish you all the best of luck! I'm here for questions if you have any.

Thanks ambre! What is the workload like? Do you have any free time on the weekends at all? Also, did you take patho before beginning classes?

The workload is intense, but if you stay on top of your necessary reading and assignments, and study a little bit every single day, then it's completely doable. I had a completely FREE weekend this past weekend, but that's rare and I doubt I'll get it again before spring break. And yes, I did take patho before this semester and I'm so thankful I did!! I HIGHLY recommend doing so, if possible; but I do know you can make it work otherwise. Several of my classmates are taking patho now and they're doing ok.

I'm not right now, but I'm hoping to get a tech job in the summer that I can transition to PRN once school starts again in the fall.

Thank you so much for sharing! I skimmed through your blog, and WOW, what a wake up call. It is so great to get a first hand day-by-day preview from a current nursing student. Sounds like you are doing really awesome though! Keep up the hard work and please continue to share your experiences with us

So this is kind of a silly question, but have you seen any students with piercings/tattoos? I have tattoos and my ears pierced a couple of times. I am fully expecting to have to wear sleeves the whole time. But I was wondering have you seen any instances of people being told to cover up?
