I have not seen a thread yet so I thought I would get one going for those applying for this Spring.

kate0226- thanks for the information. I was just curious what the class schedule is like, I have heard it is hard to work while in nursing school. Lol..I know its early and I may not even be accepted..but I am a planner.

Hi guys,

I was wondering for those of you who have already take the Hesi.....How is the math? Are there any fill in the blanks on the test? Can you use the calculator thats on the computer? I am really nervous about the test and it has been along time since I have taken basic math or English.... Do you need to know the definitions of what a noun, verb, adjective, etc.. ?

My math section was mostly fractions, decimals, ratios, and conversion problems. I did have several fill in the blank and yes each question has a calculator option. The grammar and reading were not a problem for me; however the vocab section was an issue. I knew every word in the study guide and maybe 5 questions were asked. Needless to say I was not worried about that section at all and it was my lowest scoring section. I didn't have any definitions on my test. Good luck!!

I just called and talked to someone at the TR East Campus. The dates listed on the website and the dates on the application packet were different, so I thought I would check it out. She told me that the date for notification was closer to the middle of November, so we might be in for a longer wait than we anticipated.

I just took the HESI today. If you have been reviewing your study guide, then you are more than ready. The test is very straightforward. It also tells you your score after you complete each section. I scored the lowest on math which I not at all expect. Double check your work . . . YOU HAVE PLENTY OF TIME. Best of luck everyone.

Not at all...I have a 3.75 and 96 HESI. I'm just glad my application is in, trying not to get anxious so soon..Good luck to everyone applying!

I applied with a 3.75 and a 90.5 on the HESI.

Does anyone know how many spots they will have available? My advisor didn't say too much other than "Looks good and good luck!!"
