So I think we are well into the application period so, surely it is time to start up this board. I can not wait until we hear back in May. Trying to keep very busy while waiting. Good luck to everyone applying!! Hopefully we can keep each other company here and celebrate our successes!!

Thanks for the words of advice! Makes me feel better. Im just going to be optimistic & hope for the best.

Hi KLP151! I am in the same boat. I have 3.7 GPA but only made a 88% on my HESI. I turned in my application a couple days ago and am feeling quite discouraged. I really thought I did good and then reading all these forums has me convinced I will not get accepted :(.

Hello to everyone. I hope your first semester went well!

I know I'm jumping the gun a bit here because I haven't even applied yet but I'm a researcher by nature so I need a little extra time.

* What brand of scrub pants did you buy for clinicals? It seems like the teal color for the TCC program is hard to find so brands that have the correct color will help me narrow my search.

* What length are the lab coats supposed to be?

* What kind of shoes did you get & were they comfortable enough for clinicals?

Thank you in advance for your input!

Kristi... I buy work scrubs through uniform advantage. They carry all sorts of brands but here is what I found. For anyone not the size of a perfect size then unisex works best. I am not able to buy sets cause my top area is larger than my bottom. Shoes... I bought Saucovny running shoes and that are gReat!!!! After a long 12 hour that had me running I still ok :)

I bought my scrub pants from a store in grapevine mills and they are Barco brand. You can also get a patch from tcc bookstore and use that as your guide for the right color. TNSA sells used uniforms on campus. Tops are $3 and pants are $5. plus the tops already come with patches!!! For lab coat look for nurses coat, they will have the cuffs at the end of the sleeves. My shoes were Sketchers flex fit, and the best thing about them is they dont have laces, which can get pretty nasty. Plus they are a leather like material so they just wipe clean.

Thanks for the advice Christin!

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of drug test tcc administers. I went to

A Halloween costume rave last weekend and I think someone drugged me, well I'm pretty sure that

Guy did. I'm worried now that going to that rave and putting myself

In that situation is going to ruin my life.
