Been a RN for two Years, and recently and stupidly made a move to Nevada the unemployment capital of the US at a strong 19 % (including the 5 % that have given up or not eligible for unemployment) So I am thinking of relocating yet again to Texas hear it is booming out there, can anyone verify or deny this. FYI I am a Psychiatric Nurse.

Border towns and rural areas are where the jobs are. Not in the major cities.

Why is everyone wanting to move to Texas??? I live in texas and the nursing market is so over saturated I have friends with years of RN experience who have been unemployed for almost 6 months. And thats people who live in the Austin area, and South Texas in rural border towns.

This thread is over a year old at this point. I think the tendency to move to Texas willy-nilly has died down somewhat. The word is getting out that this is not the new grad mcca some misguidedly thought it to be.
