    *Hey guys! Just wondering if any of you new grads/rns trying to break into a new specialty who have been interviewing for the June 2012 Parkland Residency have heard any news? I know there is a zillion applicants interviewing and I wanna see if anyone has heard anything...also if my dream comes true and I'm selected to make some new friends as I am new to texas and have had 2 interviews for the Residency thus far and would love to connect with my fellow nurses here! I have interviewed for 2 different spots and I know they said it would take a couple weeks or possibly till April to hear anything..I am on pins and needles! Lets keep eachother posted !     I'm planning on applying next week, once I get my letters of recommendation finalized. You said you've already had 2 interviews for the residency? How were the interviews, I hope the application deadline has not already passed.

    I know they have started interviewing for L&D but thats all I know of. Which residencies did you interview for?

    What residencies have you applied to? Congratulations on the interviews. Were they phone or in person interviews? And what types of questions did they ask you? I'm applying to the ED and Critical Care Trauma. The Critical Care and Trauma has had about 100 applicants and they plan on choosing 20. They said they will do all interviews in the next two or three weeks and should have a final decision by the beginning of April. They said they are trying to have all residencies done by the beginning of April. I know the ED residency was only open online for less than 6 days and they usually have a few hundred apply.

    Application deadline hasn't passed yet. They said apps due by March 19. Turning mine in Monday!

    You are correct the paper application is due March 19th, however, the you have to complete an online application as well and I do not think that is still open as of this Saturday. If you call Laura (She's in charge of the internship) she might be able to open it or somehow send it to you.

    I'm looking at the residency right now, do you guys know why the emergency residency is not up?

    It was up on Monday and has been closed since Friday..... Maybe they had so many applicants they already closed it?

    What units did you have interviews in? And what were the interviews like?
