Nurse Residency

U.S.A. Texas

Hello Nurses ?

I am interested to know if any of you are applying for Nurse residency positions at Parkland Hospital for 2014. Does anyone know what salary they offer for a nurse with some experience. Any information on how many applicants they interview would be helpful also.

Thanks and good luck to all those applying

I did my ER interview on Friday and they said later this week I think. I haven't heard from any other the positions ? Have you done more than 1 interview for any other departments ? It just seems like it going by very slow.

I was chosen to interview for ER and SICU but I only interviewed for SICU

Hello to everyone, this is my first time to comment since joining but I've been reading all the responses. I interviewed on Friday for ER (I've applied to all resident openings but only got an interview for ER). They told me decisions would be made Friday & emails would go out this week. I've heard a few people who graduated w/me (this past May) got emails yesterday for ER. But so far I haven't heard anything. Still praying & hoping we all hear something soon...the waiting is the hard part. :/

Hi everyone! I've been following this thread for a while and thought I'd share a response to an email I sent today. I talked to the recruiter and she said decisions had not been finalized yet. Hopefully we hear something soon. The waiting is driving me crazy.

Did you interview for SICU or ER. They sent me an e mail today stating I was not chosen for ER residency. I never interviewed for ER residency?

I got the same email for ER too. I interviewed for SICU.

I emailed the recruitor on the 19th to follow up on the status of my interview & applications under review. Here's what she responded.."The nurse residency positions for October has all been offered and filled." Then Monday I got the official no job offer email. I've tried another recruitor to find out about some RNI openings but sadly no response. This is the sucky part of job hunting

I also emailed the recruiter because I wanted feedback on my interview if I could work on something better and she responded ..

First of all let me say that is nothing you did wrong. The managers do not provide me with any feedback on individual applicants. At this point it is truly a numbers situation. There are over 600 applicants for each residency program. Some managers select to interview at least 100 applicants to choose from. They selected the applicants that best answered the behavior based interview questions. There are only 24 positions being offered in the ER for the October program. We will offer the ER residency again in February 2015. Interviews will begin in late October. Thanks again!

Also if anyone applied to the Baylor Residency this is what their Facebook page said..

Thank you for applying for our January 2015 Internships! We received 2,172 applications. Recruiters will start reviewing next week. It will take about four weeks to review and start reaching out to candidates.

It truly is tough out here!

Wow! Well at least y'all received a response
