New Grad Pay/ hiring ADNS

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi all, I am using this post as a double wammy. I am curious being that I am graduating in December with my ADN who is currently hiring ADN nurses in the DFW area and surrounding cities (not afraid to drive a bit) and in general what is the starting pay here in the DFW for new nurses?

Congrats to everyone who is accepting jobs this round!

Not from D/FW area, but from the reading on here, starting pay for a new grad (regardless of degree) in hospitals is $23-26/hr, but finding a job as a new grad with an ASN/ADN is really hard, most facilities are looking for BSN or experienced ASN, and those that are hiring have 50+ applications for positions.

I have read of a few smaller facilities that are new grad ASN friendly, but don't know off hand.

There are a few here that should be able to post them up though.

I just graduated in May from an adn program. I was offered 2 positions out of 3 interviews. 23.75 an hr, 4.50 night, 6.50 weekends. I believe. I start next month. Most of my class of 110 found a job before graduating. Work for it, it'll eventually come to you. If you aren't afraid to drive Abilene, and another hospital in Oklahoma are willing to hire new grad ADNs.
