Hi

I am sorry i can not answer your questionbut you can help me. I am interested in AS in Nursing in dccc. i am workig full time. My question is how can we manage full time study with full time job? Are you taking every course online? Is this possible? And can you choose your clinical sites by yourself?

Please help. I have been asking this question since last 1 yr but no one helped me.

Nursing school is full time, during the day. There aren't any night time nursing schools in the Dallas area. Working full time is possible (many have done it) but not exactly ideal or advisable. You would have to work nights and weekends. Nursing courses generally are not offered online, as there is a lot of hands on learning taking place. Clinical sites where I go to school at are randomly assigned and you do not get to choose where you go.

If you work full time and go to nursing school, you will have to be very dedicated, learn to accept not much sleep and pretty much no social life and limited involvement with your family. It can be done (its only two years) but it is extremely difficult. Someone posted about this on the students forum just last week and you may want to wander over there to read the answers from some people who have done it. You also should contact the advisor for the DCCC school you want to attend. If you have been wondering about this for a year, they have been able to answer your questions for you all along and would be a good resource for you.

Thanks a bunch. It was really very helping.

Thanks again.
