Midwestern State University - Fall 2012

U.S.A. Texas

Has anyone applied to Midwestern State University (MSU) in Wichita Falls for Fall 2012? I'd love to hear from other prospective students!

Still waiting to hear back. Hopefully this week.

Hey! I just received my acceptance from Midwestern.. I want to ask all the fellow nursing students how MSU is.. Do they have a good nursing? What is the NCLEX pass rate? Do you think you received a good education here? Any advice for us future nursing students? Also, this question is to students who have graduated already.. When you went to go apply for a job, how competitive were you and do you think your education from MSU was good enough in providing an adequate care to patients and their family members.

Congrats to u, I just go my letter of admission hope to see you there.

Do they really ask what school u went to when applying for a job?

Thanks for sharing your experience lonestar05!

Congrats Gigg! I don't think hospitals or clinics ask where you received your BSN/ADN. I think they look at the fact that you passed your NCLEX, you successfully graduated from a BSN program, and just if you're capable of working as an individual in a hospital setting, you can use your nursing skills to carefully treat a patient without another nurse or doctor telling you how to. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's what hospitals look for when they hire newly licensed nurses.

I agree thanks for sharing your experience lonestar05- really helped me

Does anyone know how many students apply on average each semester and how many students get accepted?

Also, is anyone able to see the Sim Lab tour on the nursing school website? I just can't see anything. When I click on the link that says 'sim lab tour', all that comes is a blank page and tells me to update my flash player but I've already updated it. Has this happened to anyone?

I'm about to complete my first semester in the nursing program at MSU. Good luck to all of you! So far I love the program and the professors. Have finals left still, but I'm most likely going to have straight A's for the semester.

Thanks for sharing your experiences Shorty 11. About the background check did you do it before you when for the orientation or was it after cos I don't see anything that points to the timing of this on the MSU site

you will do the background check after orientation. they will explain everything to you at the nursing orientation-there is a packet of things to do! but the good thing is that they give you the entire semester to complete it all
