MD Anderson Residency

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi everyone,

I received an interview for the MD Anderson Clinical Nurse Residency Program starting hopefully mid-March. I'm incredibly nervous because this is my first call back.

Anybody have any tips on... How the interviews are conducted? How many are interviewed? What units at the hospital are available to work in? And did anybody else get an interview?

Thanks!

Yay i said september 9th too. I am doing paper work stuff on monday. I am glad we all got offers. I told them lymphoma/ myeloma but i was really flexible day or night and units.

I'm going to request september 9 also :) And thanks I'm loving Houston so far! It'll be great to start a big new grad program where we can all meet each other and have all that support!

This is exciting! can't wait to meet u guys :)

Hi, everyone. I've been lurking around this thread for a while and am anxious to hear back! I was also told to expect an offer on August 2nd but then was told to wait until this coming Friday as they are still working on assignments. Has anyone heard anything else? I also applied for their OR residency and had the panel interview for that yesterday. I hope I get offers for both so that I have a selection to choose from.

How was the OR panel interview? How many people? What did they ask you? Thanks for any help!

The OR panel was much harder than the GN panel. They kept me on my toes! It's the first interview I've had in which I wasn't quite sure how I did. There were 5 people on the panel. As far as the questions, they asked SO MANY. I estimate it was between 15-20 questions and I don't even really remember what they were. I just remember thinking that there was no way for me to have prepared sufficiently for that. I will say that they definitely do have your resume and letter of intent in front of them and will ask you questions from them. I wish I could be of more help but my head was almost spinning after that interview.

Wow! That's a lot of questions! I will make sure I reread my letter of intent. I have an interview the 13th. Good luck to you and thanks for your response!

hi! nothing so far... and neither has my friend. i requested p10 (where i did my clinicals), pedi or women's services. i hope they call earlier although i probably won't be able to make a decision until i hear back from the OR recruiter.
