LVN School in San Antonio

U.S.A. Texas

Published

I am new to the San Antonio area and am interested in becoming a LVN. I am trying to find colleges that offer this program and all I can find is Texas Careers and Baptist Health Systems. The problem is is that there are so many prerequisites for Baptist, and I just want to jump right in to the actual training. Does anyone know anything about these two programs? Or does anyone know any other colleges in the area that offer LVN program? Any info would be appreciated

I like St. Philips, I'm about 2 months into it. It is about 2,000 a semester, for 3 semesters, plus the price of books. They have a day and then also an evening class. There is financial aid you can apply for and also the nursing counselor tells us about scholarships we can apply for. There is NO prereqs for the LVN program, but after the LVN program (which is one year long) you can choose to go on to the RN program (which is about a year long as well) but there is some prereqs. and you can take some classes during the program.

St. Philips is the easiest to get into. Baptist requires A&P 1 and an entrance test.

Well for St. Phillps you have to pass the accuplacer, which isn't hard if you review.

I wish St. Philips was a little more organized.
