LVN programs in Dallas, Texas?

U.S.A. Texas

I was wondering if any of you out there were from the Dallas/Ft.Worth area. I am new to the area and I am wanting to go to nursing school and the only one that I know of that has a LVN program is El Centro College in Dallas. Does anyone know of any others? I would greatly appreciate any information anyone has. Thanks a bunch!!!

Hi,

I'm not from Dallas ,so unfortunately, I don't know of any schools in that area. I'm from Houston and I know of a website called "Texas Two Year Colleges" that may be of help to you. You can look up the colleges that are in Dallas and go from there. Here's the address: http://www.tccta.org/colleges.html

Good Luck!

I'm about an hour and half drive from DFW area. With your location I would think you would have access to several schools. However on the same note with that access why not go for RN? It would be great to have your LVN first and then go for RN coz you get more hands on with the pts which is what I'm doing. I graduated last August and am getting all the experience I can before starting on my BSN. There is also a TECH school there that teaches LVN but off hand can't remember the name. Try going SEARCH on you browser for colleges in the DFW area. Good luck!

I'm from Dallas and the only two programs I know about are Dallas Nursing Institute and Dallas County Community College. One is about 30k and the other is about 8k.
