U.S.A. Texas

Hello Everybody,

This is my first time posting, I am hoping to start the Lvn program at Concorde in Arlington, Tx in June or October. Is there anybody else out there who has attended Concorde if so how was your experience with the LVN program. I have wanted to be a nurse but like many others I started taking my pre requisites and never completed. I am 34 yrs old, a single mom of a 10 yr old and I have decided this is the route I would like to go. I'm so excited but also nervous about this bcuz I know it's very demanding and time consuming. This has been a life long dream and I have made up mind to go through the program Just would like some input from others who have attended the program on what it was like . I will be attending the part time program M,T,W 6-10pm every other weekend 8-8. Thanks for any words of wisdom or advice in advance.

I'm in Dallas and just graduated but not from Concorde. I attended DNI. :)

Hi Julie. Can you tell me about your experience at DNI? I'm looking to start in August but some of the reviews I've read has scared me LOL. Thank you.

As with any program its what you put into it. I had some awesome instructors and some that could have been better. I was there yesterday talking to a few people and heard them say they have a class starting soon then one in August I think. The clinicals are mostly at nursing homes but there are a few acute care places. Of all my classmates that have taken NCLEX we have all passed :)

Thank you. Yes there is a class starting in May but I'm having a baby in July and decided to wait until August. I know no program is 100% perfect and somebody will have an issue on how things are done no matter what. I'm just so excited to begin!

@beccajae good luck on your first day today!!! Let me know how it goes!!! I'm excited cant wait to start in June?

I love my teachers here at Concorde. They are all very helpful and always willing to answer all of our questions during lectures. I would reccommend CCI-Arlington to anyone who wants to pursue an exciting career in the healthcare field. It is very demanding, but if you just put the time in at home as well as class, it will work out. I AM LOVING IT!! :)

@nhube --Hi there I go to orientation this Tuesday and I start the LVN part time program June 10th. How is it working out for you so far? Have you started your clinical a yet, if so where are they at? Thank you

i am starting the oct 14 lvn evenin program.excited.

Hello, I've been looking into this program for about 2 years now and I'm particularly interested in the evening program. Id love to hear any feedback you guys have about the program. It looks like I have no other choice but to attend this program anyhow considering my familys schedule and the how close it is relative to the other programs I've looked at, Id just like to see how I can best prepare myself.

Thanks :)

I am applying to DNI and Concorde Dallas for the LVN program. I decided to apply to both because Concorde has a waiting list and they don't let you know that you have been accepted until about 2 weeks before the program starts. Is there anyone else attending Concorde Dallas October 2013 class or DNI's November 2013 class?

Hi i am starting the evening lvn program in October.how is the program going.I have so many family members discouraging me about going to concorde but I have decieded not to listen to them. Can u email me how the program is [COLOR=#003366]going [email protected]

I am attending the daytime program at Concorde Dallas. I am one month in. I think you get out of it what you put into it. It is fast paced and you have to be very self motivated. I study alot online and read on my own. So far there have been a lot of ups and downs but I constantly remind myself why I'm there. 1 month down, 12 more to go! :)

I graduated from Concorde's lvn program in May '11. I was working as a cNA making 8.00$ an hr. A month after graduating I got hired at an assisted living and I started making 19/hr I got my one year experience there and then got into private duty nursing and am now making way more. Ppl tried to discourage me but trust you get back what you put in and there are so many different opportunities for nurses out there so it's always going to be a job. I have a friend that I graduated with that has a desk job! Good luck to you all !
