Anyone applying? Does anyone know if there is a traditional program for kingwood?

Thanx! Same to you. I read about a million post from last fall and saw that Kingwood got their letters on the 8th of October. I guess I need to focus on my classes (micro & pharm) and not take up residence on this message board. lol :icon_roll

Where are you taking Micro & Pharm? I'm doing those same two classes right now too!

Hi everyone. I applied to the nursing program at Lone Star for the Spring 2013 term. The Quest Basic track was my first choice and Kingwood traditional my second. My score is an 11.68.

Best luck to all :)

Hi Sapadgett. I am taking Micro at North Harris with Carol Crowder. (she is awesome!!!) and I am taking Pharm. at Tomball. I was just wondering if you are allowed to apply for more than one program and if so, if that is than a wise thing to do? I saw that Tomball's LVN program application period ends tomorrow. Does anyone know anything about doing that?

Hi Iamleean, welcome. I saw someone turn in an app at Kingwood for the Quest while I was there the other day. You guys both have really good scores! :yelclap:

I don't see why you couldn't apply to an LVN program too if you wanted. I'm not sure though! I'm taking micro through Montgomery and my pharm in online through Kwood. Both very interesting classes!

Here are scores I have seen so far. Just copy and add yourself to the list to we know how everyone is doing! :) Good luck to everyone. I'm already stalking this page and the deadline is still 2 hours away. It's going to be a long 4-6 weeks....

I am trying to stay away from this message board and focus on my homework....but I can't! I am trying to go back and see how many people typically apply to Kingwood. I have heard as many as 800 and then I have also read much less. Anyone know?

@sapadgett, I didn't turn in an app. at Tomball. I'll just keep my fingers crossed for the ADN program.

Thanx for the list ness27

I have never heard 800! Lol I hope not! Haha!

I've been trying to focus on my hw as well, but it's really hard with this in the back of my mind! Lol This has been the longest wait of my life.

Yep, just proof that you started the series. BTW, there is another thread regarding this application period on here. It's under summer 2013 (or something like that). Does anyone have any idea how many applicants there were for the fall program? I wonder how long it takes after the application deadline to get a letter in the mail.

One of the nursing adivsors at kwood told me that letters will reach up 4-6 weeks after the closing of the application period. So the Oct 8th date that someone mentioned is probably a very good estimate.

:bluecry1: Too long! Oh well, all good things come to those who wait? lol. Compared to other application periods there doesn't seem to be as much activity on this thread. How many spots does Kingwood have, is it 80?

It seems like it's going to take forever!!! :uhoh3: Loll.

And yes, there are 80 spots at Kingwood. 40 day & 40 evening. Which one are you wanting to do? I'm really wanting days since I don't have to work right now..I'd rather be at home with my kids in the evening.

I need days too so that I can be home with my kids because my husband works an evening shift. If I had evenings that would put me in a bind. Do you know what the evening hours are? Can I just get a letter (this week) stating that I am in and that I have days, is that too much to ask?? :D

I don't think it's too much to ask!! Haha! I want one too! :D I'm not sure of the evening hours...I want to say like 5-9 or something like that with a Sat clinical...but I don't know. I wonder if when we get the letters (hopefully!) if we'll choose then what we want or at the orientation?! Ugh...so much I want to know! I wish Oct would get here!
