Lonestar Fall 2013 hopefuls

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.

I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?

Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years

Jen

I chose:

1- St. Luke's (the woodlands)

2- Health south (the woodlands)

2- Kingwood regional hospital

To my fellow Cyfair nursing students...Only 4 days until orientation! Yay!

I am so excited! Our last step until we are officially in the program!

I am a little late joining all nurses, but just wanted to say hello to everyone that will be attending North Harris.

Who will be attending the RNSG 1 that starts on July 29?

My pick for Clinical:

Kingwood Hospital

St. Luke's- Woodlands

HELLO! Welcome :) I am also in the summer course with you..see you then!

For those who attended the Cyfair orientation...In the blue folder we were given it had a piece of paper in there about a mandatory family night. Do any of you know what that is exactly? Are we suppose to bring our families with us, and do you know what it is all about?

Hello everyone

I am getting my physical tomorrow (the last thing on my to do list), and I just realized that on the form for the physician, a genital exam is required. It is that time of the month for me. Talk about bad timing! For those who have already done their physical, what exactly did the physician do? I don't know what this has to do with nursing school anyway!

That was not checked for my physical exam. The doctor skipped over it and said it was unnecessary. No worries. :)

She just checked my vitals, ears, throat, lung sounds, heartbeat...very basic things. Also, had to fast for blood work to be checked. Urine was also checked.

My doc skipped over that portion too.

Thanks guys. I had my physical today, and if anything, I felt it was a waste of my money. I can take my own blood pressure! lol. Anyway, it's done, uploaded, and approved. My husband and I are moving to Houston in two weeks. I am ready to start school again. :-)

Montgomery campus students!! When is the deadline for all of your certified profile information? Just wondering when the next time there may be some weeding out for us alternates!
