by amylpn24 Apr 17, '09Hi everyone!!! I will be moving to katy a month from now. Looking for a good job that pays decent. Anyone have any ideas? I am an LPN with greater than 16 years exp. Currently Nurse manager/MDS coordinator for LTC facility. Exp. in psych and corrections as well. Willing to consider any of these areas. Thank you

- May 20, '09 by RNQueenTx dept of corrections has facilities in Sugar Land, at Hwys 99 and 90 intersection. There are LTC facilities around Katy that are new and upscale. One in particular is on W Fernhurst off Hwy 99. If you're renting you can live on opposite side of the road and walk 1 minute to work. Before the end of 2010 two major hospitals will open on I 10 at barker Cypress: Texas Children's and Methodist. Memorial Hermann and Christus St Catherine's are big and within Katy limits. While they may not use LVNs much, they will make getting other places easier and wages higher.
