Is anyone from Houston that is in a nursing program?

  1. Hi all!

This question really states itself. I'm just wondering, as an incoming nursing student in the fall, what's the best way to know how to manage your classes?

    jewels,

For me, I am taking all of my Pre-Rn classes such as A & P I & II, Comp, Math, Microbiology, Psyc I & II, and both PHED classes. That's 29 hours. Then when I apply to the actual RN program, I will have all the "other" credit hours behind me and I can concentrate on just the RN courses, labs and clinicals.

I'm doing the same thing starting this semster. I already have an Assoc Degree so I have a lot of my prereqs and academics already. I have to take the A&P and the Micro course you do as well as the dreadded math (I soooo suck at math!), one of the two psych, one of the two PHED (although I may take 2, but I already have one from my last degree). I should be able to squeeze in my remaining English (Technican Report Writing, that sounds like a snoozer, eh?) and/or my humanities elective as well.

Do you have to take Pharmacology? If so, are you planning to take it ahead of time?

Also, what program are you going to apply to?
