Houston New Grad Pay Rate?

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hello, I was wondering what the typical New Grad in Houston gets paid hourly. Thank you.

$25-28/hour base depending on facility last I heard.

I know the new grad residency program at Ben Taub or Methodist has a range $28-32/hr

As a new grad I'm getting paid $27.50 for day shift but if you work nights you'll get a differential of an extra $3.50

I accepted a position at $27.5 on day shift and night shift +4. Is this a bad deal for a new grad?

This is at St. Joseph's. I received an offer at memorial hermann as well in the med center same pay for day shift 27.50. Did you start out as an LVN getting paid 26/hr?

I have two friends who just got an offer as a new grad for memorial hermann in humble and pearland and the starting pay is $27.50. I think 27.50 is going to be the pay rate for new grads in all memorial hermann's around the Houston area.

I know that one of the hospitals in the med center pays an extra $4 on top of the base pay for working in the medical center plus night shift differential. Does anyone know if hermann in the med center does this also for new grads or after the GN program?

The higher pay in the med center offsets the huge amount in parking you will be paying a month.
