Houston Job Prospects.

Hi all,
I'm currently an RN in Los Angeles applying for FNP programs in the Houston area for next fall or the spring semester after. Once accepted I'm going to be looking for jobs and want to know how easily or difficult it can be to find one. What I'm looking for is like a timeframe so I know how much I'm going to money I need for the move there and to be okay for some time without a job.

A bit about me: I'm a critical care nurse in the surgical ICU for the last 2.5 years. One year of open heart experience. We are also a stroke center so I care for stroke patients and post craniotomies/craniectomies, ventriculostomies, etc., for the bulk of my experience.
