Help please... Endorsing fr. California to texas - Page 9
Register Today!- Jul 20, '11 by balegarciaHi All!
This thread is very informative for NLCEX passers like me whose exams will "expire" months from now. I would like to know which address in California did those who successfully acquired their license send their Verification of License form. Did you guys just used the generic address from their website which is
Board of Registered Nursing
1625 North Market Boulevard, Suite N217
Sacramento, CA 95834-1924
or has any of you used this:
Attn: Renewals Unit
Attn: Licensing Unit
and if so, which unit. I've read in one thread that the licensing unit is the right department to send the request for verification of license (since we dont have an SSN yet) as the renewals Unit declined.
2. and how did you pay the $60. a detailed overview will be very much appreciated.
Thank you! - Jul 20, '11 by meredithderHi All!

use the generic address...
that is just fine...
the verification of license can still be done there would be no problem with that even without the SSN...
you can pay the $60 thru the US check... - Jul 25, '11 by retthurr@jad.rn & @merdithder
am i eligible if i only have the nclex cali pass letter for this endorsement process??
how do i get a fingerprint card? im from the phils.. or do i have to use my aunt's address there in cali - and she'll be the one to send me the card and then do it back home..
how long is the entire process?? from submission of all of the reqts.. [let's just say that you could possibly send them all at the same time.]
thank you so muchLast edit by retthurr on Jul 25, '11 : Reason: add more questions - Jul 27, '11 by elle_veehi meredithder!!

- Aug 16, '11 by graeyzeHi! Im a California passer without SSN and I want to endorse it to Texas. What application form I have to use? I read from other post that I have to use the Application by Examination?
or is it the Endorsement Application form? Thank you very much.
- Aug 17, '11 by meredithderyou need to just endorse it through filling out some papers for it... are you a foreign graduate? you just have to fill out the verification of your license from where you are from and your verification from california... then fill out the forms for the endorsement of license... download the forms from the texas board of nursing website...
you need also to put inside your endorsement forms, a fingerprint card, payment of $200... before you send to the BON of texas for the endorsement, try to make the verification of license of the licenses that you have... and also try to provide a copy of your license from where you are from and a letter from BON of california as a proof that you took your nclex and that you passed it already...
send it to them to their address...
for california fill out the verification of license form of texas, send it to them, they will fill out the rest of the form and they will be the one to send it to texas and you also need to pay them $60 for that...
i think that's it... - Aug 18, '11 by krayasi am confused about the fingerprint card and background check. i live in california and have used livescan before. but the packet says that if you live outside of texas you need to have the fingerprint card sent to you and then contact your local law enforcement angency and then mail the card back to the texas board of nursing. how long to i have to wait to get this card in the mail? why can't i do live scan? this is the exact wording of the instructions....
for applicants residing in texas, l-1 identity solutions, www.l1id.com (formerly known as identix), offers live scan locations in texas. in order to be eligible for an electronic fingerprint submission, allow three business days to elapse before scheduling an appointment with l-1 identity solutions. you may schedule an appointment online or by phone at 1-888-467-2080.
for applicants residing outside texas, attach one (1) completed fbi fingerprint card. a fingerprint card can be requested from our website at www.bon.state.tx.us/olv/web-requests.asp. fingerprinting should be conducted by a person who is appropriately trained to collect them. your local law enforcement agency should be willing to assist you. - Aug 18, '11 by meredithderlike what they said, if you live in texas you have to do the fingerprint card... just go to their website and ask for a fingerprint card, addressed to you and of course to your name... in less than a week you will get it... then you have to go to fbi office or any authorized office who does fingerprint scan to do this thing for you bec only authorized people can do this... bec it needs signature of the officers doing it..
