I am trying to help someone find an LPN program in Dallas-Fort Worth or the surrounding area. Does anyone know of any? I couldn't find much on-line.

I appreciate any input you can offer.

Thanks!

I believe El Centro, Hill College and Weatherford College all have programs but I am sure there are others. Try this link to the BNE website for more information ftp://www.bne.state.tx.us/vnschools.pdf

Same boat. I couldn't find the course at TCC. There is Concorde Career Institute in Arlington. I have an appt tomorrow.

I know of 3 schools...the first is El Centro, the Dallas County College, second is Concorde in Arlington and third is North Texas Professional Career Institute.

Specializes in Operating Room.

When searching, make sure you are searching for LVN, not only LPN.

Texas uses the term Licensed Vocational Nurse, LVN, rather than LPN.

Good luck!

There is also Navarro College they have 4 campuses Waxahachie, Corsicana, Mexia, and Midlothian. The Corsicana campus is the main campus.

Nobody mentioned Hill college in hill county and they have an extension in cleburne

Check out Collin County Community College. I believe they too have a LVN program. Melissa :p

Specializes in Radiology, L&D.

There is also Trinity Valley Community College in Kaufman (30 miles east of Dallas). They have an LVN program that goes from January to December.

BTW, Concorde is currently up to $18.5K. Even after grant and loan, I'd still have to dish out over $6K. Ouch. Going to TCC for RN. Much cheaper.

Grayson County College in the Sherman/Denison area also has an LVN program as well as a LVN-to-RN program. I'm in McKinney, and it is only a 25 minute drive just north of here on 75. It's not a bad drive at all from here with little to no bad traffic.
