I would love to apply to their SoN, but I'd like to get an idea of how a student's schedule is set up. What can I expect during the first semester? Ex: number of courses, how long the courses last, what type of courses

Most of this info is on their site. I haven't attended yet, I start in January.
Here's the degree plan: UT Health Science Center School of Nursing :: Undergraduate Traditional Track
And here is an example of a detailed schedule: The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio

It's a solid program. First semester you have Pathophysiology, health assessment theory and lab, foundations theory and lab/clinical, and concepts of professional nursing. In first semester you go to the hospital one day a week. They've changed the schedule a bit since my first semester (I graduate in December) so I don't want to give you wrong info on exact days and times. In first semester the courses are the traditional 16 week courses. patho and concepts are the longest courses time wise (3 hrs each, but you get breaks every 50 mins!)
