Has anyone applied for January Residency programs at Baylor Health Care System??

I kind of got a late start, but applied to several of the internship/residency programs at Baylor for January. I am just wondering if anyone has applied and gotten a response or an interview? I received the standard email stating that they have received my application, but nothing else. If you know anything about the program.... what they look for, how competitive it is..... if you have heard anything....how many positions available, etc.... Please post!!!!!

I know this thread is old but I wanted to ask how everything is enjoying the residency program. I'm thinking of applying for June 2010, when I graduate. I've talked to a recruiter there already because I want to have something before I graduate. I'm also out of state and planning on visiting during my spring break. I'm interested in ICU and telemetry.

Let me know how you guys are loving (or hating!) Baylor and what you would recommend for an applicant from out of town! Thanks!

I want to know, too, and I know I am posting this soooo late, many of you are done! How did you like it, did you stay? I want to apply in March.

I moved to Dallas from Boston for the 2010 tele internship. I LOVED it! There are some floors that I wouldn't recommend, but the internship program was great and they had great benefits for newbys - nclex reimbursement, relocating expenses, ect.

That is awesome, I am glad to hear it. That was a big move for you? I bet it was a huge culture shock! What are you doing now, still tele? They say only apply to 3, so, in order of my interests I want to do OB or NICU. I haven't decided what my 3rd choice will be yet.

PM me, if you want, please, I am interested to know how the process goes. I graduate in May, and hope to start an internship in June. Anything special I should do? (Besides keep my GPA up?) I expect that, in January, I will be invited to join Sigma Theta Tau, so I am excited about that, too.

I have friends and family in Dallas. (and grew up in Lubbock, but they don't have anything like Baylor's program, unfortunately, because I would love to move back!) I am so excited I can hardly wait, I have worked so long and so hard for this BSN, all I know is it better pay off!!
