I've been wondering about this one Plover1, where did you find the info for the internship?

I found it after my last post. Unfortunately a B.S.N. is required, seems like my A.D.N. just won't cut it for most internships these days.

Plover1, Thank you so much for your info.I really appreciate it. I am new in houston, these info are very helpful for me. I also applied Memorial Hermann that you mentioned in another posting.

Besides st.luke, MD,Anderson, Memorial Hermann, st.joseph, children's hospital. Do you know any other hospitals that have GN internship or residency program?

I also try to apply for Long Term Acute Care Hospitals in houston area, Do you know what hospitals take GN, and what hospitals accept walk in application? Thank you.

Park plaza dose too. You have to keep an eye out for their residency. Woman's Hospital. You have to go visit a nurse Manager on the unit you are interested in to even get your application noticed.Kindred have a gn program. And West Oaks hospital have a new grad program too. My advice is to search everyday. Using terms like new grad, nurse graduate, graduate nurse, nurse intern, nurse internship, and nurse residency. You can call Human Resources and they might be able to tell you a time period when their GN program might be up. Hope this helps.

Plover1, How are you coming across all these programs? I'm checking many of these hospital's websites daily but am not finding all the programs you are, what's your secret?

Pro active.. I look everyday on their websites. Some companies let you know when they will be posted and some say between now and the end of the semester. Not much info. For example, Texas children do not announced theirs at all and it is only posted for like 5 days. Pro active Pro active....

Plover1, just checked Kindred's website and I was unable to find any information about the GN program at Kindred. Where did you find this program?

I mention who all have a gn programs, I didn't say they were all up right now. I will post separate bulletins when any new ones are posted in the Houston area to help others out.

Did TCH already have theirs up for the summer? I've been checking twice weekly.
