Group One background checks in Texas - Page 29

Group One is spreading across Texas from what I understand, particularly to Houston. All of DFW pretty much uses it. Obviously by your situation more than just DFW uses it.

Is groupone associated with hopsitals in HOuston, Methodist, st. Lukes, Memorial Hermann, and HCA hospitals in Houston?

Thats what Im trying to find out. I called them and they wouldnt give specifics but said a couple in Houston use them. I know HCA is in bed with them up here so I would guess HCA there is as well.

Hello to everyone! I was recently placed on the "GROUP ONE" i'm retaliating against you because you didn't resign LIST. I am a whistleblower and proud of it. Because of my big ovaries, an HCA facility has once again abused this system. I am suing them for retaliation. Anyway, i would like to know who would like to work with me in getting some sort of justice regarding this abuse. Isn't there a nursing shortage? Let's do the math...nursing shortage percentage? total amount (%) of nurses on the blacklist and blackballed? hmm...curious? me too. I will be fighting this by myself or with all of the nurses out there who have been a victim of this type of retaliation. All the nurses in Texas should fight against this regardless if you are on this list or not. Things could change for you tomorrow. These hospitals are bullies and sometimes it takes just one person to get the ball rolling...and that person is ME! This abuse is so ridiculous and makes me embarrassed to be a nurse in Texas. If you are a bad nurse...dangerous...well then the State Board will handle you. If you are great nurse and whistleblower because you did right by the patient and then ended up blacklisted...then that is just wrong. I want to know who wants to fight this with me...because i will not give up. Any ideas? please share!

Does anyone know how you would find out if you were placed on Group 1? I was denied a job due to a misdemeanor that showed up on my group 1 background check from 9 years ago and I am concerned that they may have put me on Group 1. Are they required to tell you if they took such action?

Go to the website and pay$10.50. If you unemployed, among some other stipulations it is free. But this has got to stop!

how many did you get to help? I need to do more research but they are beyond words, terrible. I am contacting the Labor board and other bodies, because I may be put on it for not finishing my 2 wk notice even with a MD note.

I have several nurses interested but we need to do more research and figure out how to fight them and what we are fighting. How legal are they? They are getting loop holes. NO way is this HR correct. Give me your thoughts. Let's not dally!

I'd be very interested in seeing this operation shut down. I haven't graduated yet, and hope to never run afoul of this thing, but the fact that your boss can report you to this list and there's basically no recourse scares the bejeezus out of me. It's definitely not right, but it may take one heck of a legal fight to bring it down.

I am almost positive I'm on it and while I've been told there's a way to get a copy of my spot on the list, I have no idea how to go about this. Considering I have a wonderful resume and have been verbally hired on the spot from many of the facilities on this list then never contacted again in the past three years since I left one of these facilities, I need to know what it says and how to counter it. Thanks!
