I would like to do the morning. I'm a morning person. I need my husband to keep the kids though. So I will probably do the evening, so at least he can work half a day. When are you going?

i'm not sure yet. I was thinking morning, but that's only if one of my friends can keep my 3 year old. If not it will be the evening so my husband can watch him and at least get a half day in at work as well.

I get that. I have childcare set up for school. Until then we are on our own though. I am worried about the CPR class. I hope they Are in the evening or on Fridays.

If you take them at Grayson normally they are on Fridays. But I just looked and all the dates they have listed are full or the day of our orientation. Can't be in two places at once, right? From what I learned last year at orientation they don't care where you get your CPR card as long as it's American Heart Association Certified. I just whet to heart.org and searched for CPR classes and I reserved a spot in one that is on July 21st from 10-1 which is on a Saturday so my husband can watch my 3 year old. My older two kids are spending the summer at their dads so I don't have a problem finding someone to watch them. The only thing is that the class is in Plano, but I would rather make the drive and get the card than sit around and worry if there's going to be another class available at Grayson. I also have childcare all figured out for when school starts, but like you, up until then I have to figure stuff out. It's tough sometimes.

ETA: If you want to look up a class, the link is http://www.americanheart.org/eccclassconnector. Hope that helps!

Oh my gosh. I didn't consider that finding a CPR class might be difficult. I guess I was just so focused on getting in. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, it gets crazy around this time of year. Everyone is scrambling to get one before school starts. I am sure they will add a couple more dates, they did last year. I just want to do it and get it done so it's on less thing on my list. I still have to get my 2nd Hep A shot as well as a TB test. Although I was told that since the TB tests are only good for a year, those should be done as close to the beginning of school as possible so you're not in the middle of tests or clinicals and needing to have another one done.

I'm not sure I'm looking at the right thing. We would need the BLS for healthcare providers?

Yes. It needs to be AHA certified BLS for Healthcare providers.

Ok. Thanks, Ike. Looks like there is a place in Melissa. They're listed on the AHA website so they should be good. That's a lot closer for me, too.
