Grayson County College LVN peeps?

Curious who else is out there that is applying for LVN at Grayson? How'd you do on your TEAS? Anyone have any idea of what scores typically get in and is everyone else as anxious/nervous as I am? Feel free to introduce yourself and I hope to see you all in the fall :)

Perhaps some current Grayson LVN students can comment on what their TEAS V scores were and what to expect? :)

Oh. Does anyone know when we find out what books we need?

hahaha no, I check it daily as well. And last year they gave out a book list at orientation, so that's probably when it will happen this time.

Well, then I kinda wish they weren't going to push the orientation back too. I would like to get started on things as soon as I find out if I'm in or not.

I understand that. I can't help but think that for those that get accepted this year it's going to be crazy busy trying to get everything in time to start school. It is what it is though, and I guess if we got accepted we'll just have to deal. I just wish my letter would come stating either way. I'm tired of waiting!

I hear that. I am also tired of waiting. I wonder if we will ever know the reason for the delay? If it is because of low test scores or incomplete files, then will our class be smaller?

It's a possibility. I think it has to do with low test scores. I'm assuming that if they moved the deadline they were doing their best to make sure that the class size is the same as other years, but i don't know if it actually will be. If you look on your score report it shows what the average test score is for people who applied to the program. The last time I looked it was 56%. If that was the average score it's no wonder they extended the deadline since they only accept 60% and above. I have no idea if that's actually the reason though. I'm just guessing.

I got my letter today! I'm accepted! Woot! So excited! Good luck ladies! Go check the mail!

FYI- orientation is on July 19th. The nursing tote is 258.64, and has to be paid for at orientation.

Oh. And I know you guys were worried about the schedule. My letter says,"the first day of class is Monday, August 27th at 9:00 AM. Thereafter, classes will be M-F 8:30-4:30 each week."

Congrats to you!! I just checked my mail and I got in too!! Woo Hoo!! *Doing a happy dance* :yeah:

Congrats Ike! I am so excited for both of us!

I am too! What time are you going to do your orientation?
