There are great pharm review papers for all 4 semesters written by an instructor, Ms. T. It's available on NLC SNA website. I don't know if you have it on ECC SNA site.

Fun, I have already forgot that you go to Florida. I don't want you to get bored there so I sent you an email. :roll (By the way, we didn't need to study oral hypoglycemics.)

We have a Ecc SNA website , but it is not maintained, sadly. I wonder if I could have access to the NL site? I'll try.....

lol I was wondering if I actually knew the person whom I was sending it to. lol You guys aren't using that book anymore? It was required with us. Did they change it where you aren't doing the virtual excursions?

I got a letter from ECC stating I have been a designated Priority I status for readmission into the program so my application has been approved, pending space availability and my completion of 'projects' I have to do. How in the world will they get everyone who failed this semester back in the program? There were quite a few of them.

Oh I forgot to say that I have copies of the Pharm packets that I can e-mail to if you want them. I don't know if they are updated though but you can get a general idea. SO if anyone wants them just PM me with your email address.

Oh , yes they do say they require the book, I just was curious since you sold it, I thought you realized it wasn't really needed, like other stuff in first semester, lol.
    So are you joining us?

Oh it was needed. I failed out of the semester before they used it so I never opened it. I heard it takes a long time to do. I won't be returning to the nursing program at ECC so I sold all of my books. I wish I can sell back my syllabus.

    Good luck to everyone!!

I'd like to see what you have....even though it may be different for NLC. (Even though it shouldn't be.) fun2care at nursingjuourneyDOTcom.

Also, what are your plans? Not going anywhere? Going for your BSN?

I'm really sorry you're having to go through this.

Though I may not be going back to ECC I still plan on staying in school and going somewhere. I was thinking of doing my BSN to TWU. All I would have to do is apply for the program. I am already accepted into the university and they have all of my records and everything though I am thinking of changing my major to something completely different. Either way I will be getting a degree. Thanks but there is nothing to be sorry about. I feel like things happen for a reason and due to a lot of things that I was thinking and feeling and than I failed lecture and this is just an opportunity for me to pick myself up and move on to something else.

Thank you. I appreciate it. No I won't be returning to the nursing program at ECC. I will be taking classes at ECC but not towards nursing. I am done with all of my BSN if I was going that route for TWU. I replied more with the above post.

Best of luck to everyone here!

Yeah, I should have taken a leave to or dropped the classes, but I was 20 years old, so I guess I wasn't thinking. Plus, I lived in family housing on campus, so I guess I thought I had to stay and try.

On top of everything else, three weeks after I had my little girl, I had this pain in my chest and I thought I was having a heart attack!

I had this pain intermittently for 8 months. I went to the ER 8 times with attacks of pain and I missed so much class because I'd wake up in the middle of the night or I would not have slept because I was up all night with the pain.

The very first time I went to the ER via ambulance because I thought I was dying ( the pain is that bad) the nurse actually asked me about what was really wrong with me, but ended up saying that I was too young to have them.
Turns out I did have GALLSTONES, and that pain is worse than childbirth!

Anyway, that and all the other stuff I had going on contributed to my failing out. I think I only passed one or two classes during that, not because I couldn't do it, but because I didn't go to class d/t depression, the new baby, the gallstones, and the abuse.

I know you can be a nurseif you want to. Just believe in your abilities.
I'm trying to. :spin: I just need to boost my confidence.

I looked at UT-Arlington's website again and it turns out they no longer count your cumulative GPA for admission to their BSN program if you have a previous bachelor's degree; at least that's the impression I got. So it looks like I may try to apply to their program as well as a DCCCD program. It makes me feel a bit better. I also have an A&P textbook that I got a couple of years ago...I get college textbooks off e-Bay because I enjoy reading them in my spare time, and I have all kinds. I read the first chapter of the A&P book last night and my head was swimming. It's pretty scary stuff. I wish I could see a copy of the ones they're using in nursing programs in north Texas.

BTW- I found out that there are 110 questions on HESI and that the faculty was able to choose which ones to test us on based on what we've learned so far so that's a little good news. The reason why it's supposed to last so long is because we're going to review the ones we missed right after we get our score. I really don't think I'll need 4 hours to take a 110 question test and review it. It only took me about 39 minutes to take the 100 question final which is probably not a good thing but oh well....I was sitting at a B no matter what

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE TAKING HESI TODAY!! I just can't wait to get my dang break started!!
